Mediation Services

Consider if Mediation is right for you.
Call 1-856-298-4207 or email to vrucinski@mwm-law.com

If you and your spouse or partner are in agreement that your marriage or relationship cannot be repaired or reconciled, you should consider whether mediation is right for you. Before filing a Complaint for Divorce, or other court filing, you can explore whether a fair resolution may be negotiated. Even if you have already filed papers with the court, or retained an attorney, mediation can help facilitate an agreement between you and the other party.

Issues to be addressed during mediation may include: custody, parenting plan, support, equitable distribution of assets and debts, and other issues of importance. Of course, every family is unique, so your mediation shall be tailored for your situation.

When you work with a dedicated and experienced mediator, you will benefit from:

  • Logical, patient approach to mediation
  • Hassle-free appointment scheduling
  • Reasonable rates

Serving all of South Jersey - including: Camden County, Burlington County, Gloucester County, Salem County and Cumberland County.

Less Costly

Compared to traditional contested divorces. A "contested" divorce is one in which you have not come to an agreement on your issues. With mediation, you can arrive at a full settlement so your divorce can then be processed as an "uncontested" divorce.

Faster Resolution

From your first session, all focus will be on helping you come to a full agreement. With the help of the Mediator, your issues will be listed, concerns will be discussed, and full resolution explored.

Private Setting

A dignified, private setting. You will schedule a time to review your personal documents, discuss your concerns, and explore an agreement you and your partner both find acceptable.

Mediation or
Arbitration
???...

Mediation and Arbitration are both processes that aim to help parties involved in a lawsuit, or potential litigation, resolve their disputes. Both are considered forms of Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR). However, Mediation and Arbitration differ in the type of processes they use – and ultimately, who makes the decision on how the matter may be resolved.

Arbitration is like a court process, but instead of presenting your case to a judge, the case is presented to an arbitrator. The parties still provide testimony and give evidence. While the process of arbitration may be less formal than a trial, the parties are still looking to a third party to make the decision. (Whether the arbitration is binding or non-binding is not a part of this article.)

Mediation, on the other hand, is a process in which the parties ultimately make their own decisions. ..
